Tom Griffiths has recently been appointed as Director of Broadcast and Distribution Technology at ITV having previously been the Technology Controller for Linear Broadcast & Content Delivery since joining the broadcaster in 2013. He is accountable for the development and support of ITV's technology platforms that support Rights Management, Linear and Non-Linear Content Scheduling, Broadcast, IP & VOD Content Delivery as well as the technology development of the platforms managed by ITVs broadcast service providers. Tom has over 20 years of experience in the broadcast & media sector, having first joined the BBC as a graduate engineer after studying at Manchester University, and has held roles in technology leadership, programme & project management, consulting and technology architecture for broadcasters and service providers. He is a member of the IET, and is currently a Section Manager on the UK Board of Managers for SMPTE.
